Direct Booking MVP
Direct Booking MVP is an experimental travel planning and accommodation inquiry application operated by Avispa.
The application helps users organize accommodation requirements, prepare individualized inquiries for hotels and other accommodation providers, review those inquiries, and create separate email drafts in the user’s own Gmail account.
Gmail integration
Direct Booking MVP uses Google OAuth to access Gmail with the gmail.compose permission.
This permission technically allows an application to manage drafts and send email. Direct Booking MVP currently uses it only to create Gmail drafts on behalf of the user.
The application does not automatically send email.
Every draft is intended to be reviewed by the user and sent manually from Gmail.
The application does not use the Gmail integration to read the user’s inbox or existing email messages.
Current status
Direct Booking MVP is currently an early-stage, privately operated MVP and is not yet offered as a general public commercial service.
The Gmail integration is being developed using the minimum Google permissions required for the current functionality.
